NON-INVASIVE PELVIC FLOOR TECHNOLOGY
EMSELLA Technology in Mokena, IL
EMSELLA offers a comfortable, non-invasive way to strengthen the pelvic floor and support better bladder control — simply by sitting in a specialized treatment chair.
Using HIFEM® electromagnetic technology, EMSELLA stimulates deep pelvic floor muscle contractions while you remain fully clothed. There are no needles, no incisions, no internal applicators, and no recovery time.
At SAS Aesthetic Institute, EMSELLA is offered as part of a personalized, physician-led approach to pelvic floor wellness and urinary incontinence care.

EMSELLA AT A GLANCE
EMSELLA treatments are comfortable, non-invasive, and easy to fit into your day. Your recommended treatment schedule will be based on your individual concerns and goals.
STRENGTHENING FROM WITHIN
A Different Approach to Pelvic Floor Support
The pelvic floor plays an important role in supporting the bladder and maintaining urinary control. When these muscles become weaker, everyday activities such as coughing, laughing, sneezing, exercising, or simply getting through the day can become more difficult.
EMSELLA provides a non-invasive way to stimulate and strengthen these muscles without requiring surgery or an internal treatment.
During a session, you simply sit in the EMSELLA chair while electromagnetic energy stimulates repeated contractions throughout the pelvic floor.
There is no need to undress, and you do not have to actively perform exercises throughout the session. The technology does the work while you sit comfortably.
At SAS Aesthetic Institute, we begin with a consultation to understand what you are experiencing and determine whether EMSELLA fits your needs.
HIFEM® TECHNOLOGY
How EMSELLA Works
EMSELLA uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology, or HIFEM®, to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles.
The treatment chair creates an electromagnetic field that reaches the pelvic floor while you remain seated and fully clothed. This causes the muscles to repeatedly contract and relax throughout the session.
Think of it as a highly focused pelvic floor workout — but without having to actively perform traditional pelvic floor exercises for the entire treatment.
These repeated contractions are designed to strengthen weak pelvic muscles and improve neuromuscular control, both of which play an important role in bladder support.
Treatment intensity can also be adjusted so the experience remains appropriate for you.

EMSELLA TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS
Pelvic Floor Concerns EMSELLA May Support
EMSELLA uses non-invasive electromagnetic technology to stimulate and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Depending on your symptoms and goals, it may be considered for several common pelvic floor and bladder-control concerns.
Bladder Leakage
Weak pelvic floor muscles can make it more difficult to maintain bladder control. EMSELLA is designed to stimulate and strengthen the muscles that help support normal bladder function.
Stress Incontinence
Leakage may occur during coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting, or exercise. Strengthening the pelvic floor can help support better control during these everyday activities.
Pelvic Floor Weakness
Pelvic floor muscles can weaken over time due to childbirth, aging, or other changes. EMSELLA provides targeted muscle stimulation designed to support improved strength and control.
Postpartum & Age-Related Changes
Pregnancy, childbirth, and aging can all affect pelvic floor function. For appropriate patients, EMSELLA offers a non-invasive option for supporting pelvic muscle strength and confidence.
Treatment recommendations are personalized. A consultation helps determine whether EMSELLA is appropriate for your symptoms, health history, and individual goals.

MEET YOUR PHYSICIAN
Michael Romberg, MD, FACS
Dr. Michael Romberg leads SAS Aesthetic Institute with a focus on personalized, physician-guided care.
Rather than treating technology as a one-size-fits-all solution, Dr. Romberg and the SAS team evaluate each patient’s concerns and help determine which treatment options make sense for their individual needs.
For patients considering EMSELLA, the goal is simple: understand what is causing concern, discuss realistic options, and create a treatment plan designed around the patient.
What to Expect
You remain fully clothed while seated in the EMSELLA chair for about 28 minutes. As treatment begins, you may notice tingling followed by increasingly noticeable pelvic floor muscle contractions. The intensity can be adjusted throughout the session.
